Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I created this comprehensive FAQ page with the aim of being transparent as possible and giving you enough knowledge to take the next step. I’ve tried to go with the angle of someone completely new coming to the site with no knowledge of who I am and what services I offer.
If you do find you still have questions that are not answered here, don’t hesitate to get in touch

Courses
Why are the courses priced differently?
The cost of the courses is based on the time it took to create them, the estimated number of 1 on 1 sessions I’d be expected to have with a student and the complexity of the topic. In comparison, according to SuperGuide, the average cost for just a single Statement Of Advice (SOA) which includes no educational material was between $2070 and $3280. The key difference here is that I’m offering comprehensive educational courses which will give you the necessary tools to invest confidently to achieve your financial freedom.

What can I expect as part of the course?
Each course consists of a number of 1 on 1 sessions with myself where we’ll walk through the presentations, course exercises and show meaningful progress at every step of the way. All presentation slides, templates and homework exercises will be yours to keep. I’ll also be available to respond to your questions should you get stuck.

How was the course material created?
The courses were created over a period of months taking inspiration from the best knowledge out there using a variety of credible sources as well as my own personal experiences. These were then divided up into modules which focus on a particular area of the subject matter. They’re a combination of presentations and homework exercises with the intention of giving you exactly what you need to become a confident investor
I'm interested in a course that's not currently offered?
Please get in touch to discuss your needs. Additional courses are created based on demand so the higher the demand, the more likely the course will be prioritized
Where can I see a preview of the course materials?
You can find a collection of the typical course materials in the free course materials section of the site
Why is course completion time estimated?
Ultimately, this depends on the progression of the student. Some topics may to be revistied a couple of times for them to sink in. It also depends on the students availability for 1-on-1 tutoring sessions
How is your course different from others out there?
From the courses I’ve researched whilst creating my own I offer a few unique differences. Firstly, they’re not pre-recorded and are delivered either in person or via online meetings. This allows me to answer the students' questions immediately, have an interactive dialogue and allows me to gauge the students' understanding of the course material.
Secondly I found that other courses were opaque when it came to exactly what was being taught in the course. Hopefully, as you’ll see from my course list, I’ve tried to be as transparent as possible about exactly what you’ll be learning.

Finally I found other courses were not necessarily transparent about cost. All my courses have a price listing for the full course, with no hidden charges.
How do I pay for the courses?
Courses are paid for either via credit/debit card or bank transfer after the initial meeting with the student and the student is ready to commit to the course
Can I pay for the course in installments or module by module?
Not at this time. The reasoning is that if someone pays for the entire course, they’re more likely to commit to seeing it to the end.
You have a course on Cryptocurrencies. Aren’t they just a scam?
Firstly, some malicious cryptocurrencies where their primary intention is to take your money. However, this is a drop in the ocean compared to the number of legitimate Cryptocurrencies out there. The course I offer undertakes a deep dive on a number of legitimate cryptocurrencies as well as provides you some guidance on how to spot the scams
Do you offer an online version of your courses?
Not at this time. I feel that delivering an in-person or online dedicated 1-on-1 sessions with the students is a more effective approach to getting them up to speed as fast as possible.
I don’t think I have the time to commit to a dedicated course. Can I take some of the modules now and postpone others to a later date?
Whilst this probably isn’t the ideal route for a students learning, this option is available after we’ve discussed the pros and cons.
What if I’m not happy with the course material, am I entitled to a refund?
All of my courses are under my iron clad guarantee that if after 30 days you're not satisfied with the service I have provided, I'll provide a full refund and you get to keep all of the learning materials you've had so far.
No tricks, no fees, just a simple promise that I will provide you the best service possible to increase your knowledge and get you closer to financial freedom.
I lost money because of taking your courses, am I entitled to a refund or compensation?
No investment is ever risk-free and there is potential to experience financial loss when investing. However, FINANCE TUTOR PTY cannot be held liable or responsible for such losses. Please review the terms and conditions page for more details.
About Me
Can I see evidence of your portfolio to verify your credentials?
Whilst I cannot show evidence of this online, I can discuss and present evidence during the courses
What experience do you have in investing?
I have over a decade of experience in investing in a variety of asset classes including shares, commodities, cryptocurrencies as well as some more unconventional investments such as cemetery plots and housing for those with who require specialized care.
How did you come up with your principles outlined in your method section of the site?
The primary sources were books and courses I’ve taken, combined with my own personal experience in life to see what has and hasn’t worked in achieving financial freedom
Have you ever lost money as part of investing?
Let’s be clear: investing carries risk and there is potential for you to lose money. I’d be lying if I said that I’ve never lost money investing and if others claim they haven't, I’d take this with a large grain of salt. That said, the key difference is what I have learned from the experience to put into practice next time.
What I Can't Offer
Do you offer advice on specific products, services, etc?
I am not a Financial Advisor; therefore I cannot provide any kind of tailored advice specific to your situation or offer any financial products (including specific share recommendations). The course material is educational in nature and is designed to equip students with enough knowledge to make their own decisions. If you require information about specific financial products and services, then you should seek advice from a Financial Advisor
