What's Currently Out There
So let’s talk a little bit of the journey which led me to creating my own method of financial education. Whilst researching my quest for financial freedom over the years I kept running into challenges from the books, course and other online materials. These are summarized below:
-
They were not upfront about what you would learn, how long it would take and most importantly, how much it would cost
-
They didn’t show which tools and platforms to get you set up and running
-
Undertaking them didn’t feel like a sense of progress
-
They were passive learning only and didn’t give you the opportunity to ask questions to improve your understanding
-
They were not focused at beginners and already assumed a level of knowledge
-
They didn’t talk about free platforms to allow you run trial and error experiments
-
They were not specific enough to Australia
-
In some cases their approaches seem contradictory (e.g. credit cards are evil and you should cut them up VS methods of making extra income through the use of credit cards)
-
There was an insufficient level of detail on a particular topic
-
Some were biased in their views towards a certain angle or hidden agenda (e.g. selling you a specific product or service that wasn’t necessarily in your best interests)
-
Some were just producing content for contents sake to increase their reach and not really solving the problem of financial education and freedom
So as you can see, that’s a pretty comprehensive list of concerns! I decided there had to be a better way from getting people from a point of absolute beginner to a confident investor.
What Is Different About These Courses?
My method takes the best knowledge from a variety of credible sources which I then combine with my own personal experience of what works and what doesn’t. I also break it down into manageable chunks, so you can get that sense of making meaningful progress and increasing your knowledge.
By the end of each course, you'll feel like you will have a level of mastery over the topic, or at the very least be comfortable enough that you can continue your learning journey.

Embedded within the education material you’ll also get a flavour of my principles to Finance:
-
Creating an artificial level of scarcity to ensure you’re saving for tomorrow and not spending everything today
-
Providing a variety of options for students to take and ensuring they have sufficient knowledge to make informed decisions for themselves
-
When to involve experts / seek additional advice
-
Not being chained to debt for the rest of your life
-

-

-
Not having to wait to retirement age to retire
-
Continual learning and applied action to achieve mastery
This approach will you to save months if not years if you had to undertake this yourself.
